Using this plan, Mental Performance Training for Coaches imparts elite-level training practices to help coaches understand how to utilize mental skills training in daily routines. Mental Performance Training for Coaches uses the "Drills, Skills, and Skillset" concept to implement mental skills training in practice as well as the "MVP Process" to help coaches identify a clearer understanding of team purpose, goals, and ethical standards. Results also vary based on the individual’s desire to improve their mental performance skills, their ability to apply mental performance skills in competition, and their willingness to overcome mental barriers in the way of successful performance.
In short, it varies. Every athlete or coach has a unique and different timeline when it comes to skill development. Just like it takes a few months to see results in the gym, it also takes time to develop mental performance skills. Moreover, it depends on the desire to improve, the ability to apply mental performance skills, and a willingness to recognize and work through challenges! Mental performance skills should be trained in parallel with athletic performance to ensure ongoing development. If mental performance training is a new area of focus, we recommend beginning with 12 Sessions.
Yes! Virtual appointments (Zoom) are standard training format. Training resources and files are always shared digitally so each session can be completed remotely. On-site training is currently available within the greater Chicagoland area.
Yes! Learning mental performance skills will always help athletes in other areas of life. Building a well-rounded mind outside of athletic competition is a focus of our program. Prime Warrior athletes are always encouraged to use mental performance skills in the classroom, relationships, and every area of life these skills may benefit.
Mental performance training is suitable for athletic levels 10U through D1 with mental performance training. Parental approval/sponsor required for minors.
